I haven't played the Sims 3 in a long time, but the last time I loaded it up it worked.
Right now, the launcher itself won't load up because it crashes before I can see it.
I'm using Windows 10 on an HP 2000 (bear with me, because I don't know a thing about computers) and the last time I loaded up the Sims was a few days after I updated to Windows 10.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled three times now, I've moved the entirety of the files to my desktop and tried to start it up, and I've deleted my Steam appcache (and I did download the game from Steam, not Origin), but to no avail.
I haven't tried the manual uninstall yet; that will be my next course of action. The only thing that worries me is digging around in files, because with my luck I'll ruin my entire computer instead.
Any advice? Is there any more info you guys need to get a better idea of the problem? I desperately need the help.
Also, I have no expansions on my copy of the Sims. It's a completely vanilla game with nothing added on. Even the mods I had on are disabled.
EDIT: I just reinstalled the game and tried to bypass the launcher and it literally said I need to reinstall the game. I downloaded it from steam an hour ago! Does anyone know what's going on?
