Sims 3 is not responding?

Okay, so I got some new Custom Content for my game. Usually, I reinstall it all to make sure it is there. So I pressed play loaded perfectly. pressed my family and let it load. once it was about to enter the world it exits the screen. then tells me sims  is not responding. what did or didn't do? help me please.
