after i downloaded a sims expansion the game wont work anymore

 i been playing my sims games for a while now and it worked well. but when i installed the sims 3 exotic island the game wont work properly anymore..
my pc is able to handle this size of games so i dont know whats wrong.

the game flaters when i start playing and then its stuck and wont work anymore.
